Come on over and watch the Big Game at Gronkowski’s house is Groupon’s message for potential marketplace customers during Superbowl season 2022.
While Gronkowski himself will be away during the Superbowl, the use of the famous NFL player’s Foxborough mansion to “party like a player” awaits the lucky participants. Besides the thrill of the game, amenities will include beer and wine tasting, mini golf, an indoor bounce house, axe throwing, and a hot stone massage station.
Groupon is getting both economical and creative with this promo. As pandemic restrictions slowed down in-person activities during the past year and a half, Groupon is looking at experiential offerings as an alternative to attract and retain customers. The move also saves Groupon from exorbitant fees to secure ad time during the Superbowl game itself.
“We all know that experiences connect us and create unforgettable memories that last a lifetime,” said Groupon Vice President of Brand, Melanie Hellenga, in a press release. “We hope consumers will think of Groupon when they are looking for the biggest selection of local experiences any one marketplace has to offer.”
Groupon is not the only merchant to venture into experiential activities as a modern twist on downsized group activities. Airbnb, Vacasa, and KFC recently offered branded experiences such as a stay in the Grinch’s cave for Christmas or an escape to a Kentucky log cabin.
If you’re not inclined to party like a player, Groupon remembered you, too. A variety of non-football related offers are up for grabs during the same promotion. To get in on one of these and find out more, read the full article here:
